ADApproved Team

Kick-off of “ADApproved”

Within our new project “ADApproved” SETLabs investigates improving the test environment at the Roding’s Mobility & Sensor Center. Key areas of focus include an automated and validated test chain comprising simulation and sensory facilities, as well as the integration of spray modeling in the indoor real test environment.

To implement the desired test chain, the existing test field in the hall is to be expanded and automated to include virtual components (Digital Twin). The virtual components will provide the necessary environmental information for the tests, which has been lacking up to now due to the limitations of the hall. Together with research into the spray phenomena, the quality of the hall tests will be decisively improved.

The planned test automation guarantees the repeatability of the tests and their evaluation as a decisive basis for certification

Expected results:

  • Continuous improvement of the Digital Twin through automated measurement data acquisition of the test field.
  • Connection of modeled environmental influences to existing environmental simulations to increase the degree of realism.
  • Development of proposals for standardizable hall test scenarios and their associated KPIs for evaluation.
  • Development of a practical validation methodology for the industrial environment.

Together with the research institutions CARISSMA (THI), SETLabs Research GmbH, as well as the industrial partners AVL S&F and AUDI AG (assoc. partner), an ecosystem for the creation of innovative jobs in the region is created.
